ADMISSIONS

Since 1977 Chatsworth Hills Academy has been educating outstanding children from Early Childhood through Grade 8. We are an independent, not for profit, college preparatory school located in the foothills of Chatsworth in a beautifully maintained natural environment. Our campus may look relaxing, but we are very serious about our students' college preparatory education. We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the California Association of Independent Schools as well as a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

CHA has a strong academic program monitored by our accrediting bodies. Core subjects including math, reading and writing are integrated into every aspect of our curriculum, ensuring our children will have mastery of these essential skills and the ability to apply them in their lives. In addition, we offer many specialty programs in art, science, Spanish, music, computers, athletics, and the performing arts. Our students are admitted to very selective secondary schools in Los Angeles, and, once in high school, excel because of their intellectual and ethical preparation.

In addition to major disciplines, CHA provides a character education program based on core values that is central to the school's mission of educating the whole child. Parents choose CHA not only because they want an excellent education for their child but because they want a school that will help them develop the integrity of their children. Our character education program, founded on core values, is incorporated into course material and classroom lessons as well as the school's expectations of conduct for its students. The result is a school where children are treated with respect, tolerance, generosity and compassion for the individual and in turn learn to treat others with the same values and courtesies.

Our Campus
Asphalt and concrete may be great for roads, but they don't make for a creative learning environment. At Chatsworth Hills Academy, we believe that going to school surrounded by grass, hills, and trees is much better than being surrounded by walls and fences. We are located in a natural environment where children can learn, run, play, and develop into wonderful people who have the skills and resources to accomplish anything they want in life. CHA is tucked away in a beautiful equestrian/residential neighborhood that is worlds away from the urban school. This extraordinary environment allows each child to experience the joy of learning without the urban distractions common in other schools in Los Angeles and in the Valley.

Our Families
A great school is only as good as the families that support it. The parents at CHA all have a common goal-an outstanding, college preparatory education that goes beyond the classroom. The families at CHA have a "student first" perspective and choose to give them the finest educational experience available. Our families also know that children, even young children, are very positively influenced by their peers. As a result, our students are great kids who grow into great people.

Because of our strong school community, life-long friendships are developed for both students and parents. Supported by our active and well-organized PTO with tremendous participation and enthusiasm, numerous social opportunities and activities throughout the year bring CHA families together to learn, laugh, and enjoy each other. At CHA, parents are encouraged to be involved in their children's education, and the results are remarkable children and a remarkable school community!

Seeing our beautiful campus is always a joy but seeing our students have fun learning is even better! The best way to learn about our school is to see it in action with inspired students and teachers working together in a wonderful learning environment. Please call (818-998-4037) to schedule a to visit Chatsworth Hills Academy or to attend an Open House so that you can experience for yourself our truly outstanding Early Childhood-Grade 8, college preparatory independent school.

We look forward to meeting you.
