Focusing on academic excellence and extracurricular distinction, Chatsworth Hills Academy is proud of its Middle School Merit Award Program.

Merit Awards are based on an evaluation of each applicant's: (1) qualifying test results (Educational Records Bureau/ERB; Independent School Entrance Exam/ISEE; STAR; Stanford SAT); (2) academic and extra-curricular achievement; (3) teacher and counselor recommendations; and (4) personal interview with a CHA representative. Up to $10,000 per grade will be awarded to at least two new and returning 6th and 7th grade Merit Award winners for the 2009-2010 academic year. These awards are renewable each year for those students through the completion of Middle School. Merit renewals are based upon: (1) continued academic achievement; (2) outstanding character and citizenship; and (3) contributions to the community at large.

Committed to selective enrollment in Early Childhood (ages 2 1/2 - 5) through Grade 8, Chatsworth Hills Academy is a college preparatory school established in the liberal arts tradition. Many students have also gained admittance to magnet or honors programs at all public high schools in the surrounding area.
