C.H.D.C. operates on a block schedule, 8 blocks a day, each 40 minutes of fun and excitement. Campers who are enrolled in our Traditional Day Camp enjoy all of the creative and exciting activity areas listed above and more! Our Sports Campers spend the first four blocks of the day receiving instruction and learning some fundamentals. Following lunch, sports campers enjoy four afternoon blocks of activity areas. Our Performing Arts Camp is the opposite, with the campers engaged in camp activities in the morning, and rehearsing for their show in the afternoon. Our Teen Travelers spend most of the day on exciting excursions, yet the schedule allows for plenty of visits to our camp activity areas. Our Preschool Camp is specifically designed to meet the needs of our youngest campers. Nap time is available, but not required, for our little ones.

Come be a part of Summer Adventures at CHA! You can sign up for any combination of our C.H.D.C. camps and/or our new Athletic Camps. Each Athletic Camp program is a one week, intensive learning experience in the fields of surfing, girls basketball, boys basketball and baseball.

Camp Hours and Extended Day Care - Camp begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. E.D.C. is available from 7:00-8:30 a.m. and 4:30-6:00 p.m. A fee of $12 per day for a.m. and p.m., or $8 per day for a.m. or p.m., per family, will be charged. There is no charge for supervision between 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-4:30 p.m.

Summer Studies - C.H.D.C. offers campers the opportunity to enhance and improve their basic academic skills in our summer studies program. This convenience is offered only from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., and a fee of $17.50 will be charged for each session.

Swim Lessons - WSI directed swim lessons are available after camp from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional lessons later in the afternoon may be available based on demand. A fee of $17.50 per lesson will be charged.

Overnights - Sleep out under the stars, enjoy an evening swim, dinner at camp, a movie and campfire before bedtime, then spend the morning enjoying camp activities!
